§ 101.6951 State write-in vote-by-mail ballot.
Overview of Statute
This statute states that overseas voters can request state write-in vote-by-mail ballots from the supervisor of elections in his/her county of registration. Voters who use state write-in ballots have to state that they cannot vote vote-by-mail ballots during the normal vote-by-mail voting period. State write-in ballots are available within a 90 to 180 day window before the general election period.

(a) An absent uniformed services voter who, by reason of active duty or service, is absent from the United States on the date of the election involved;

An election held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in the even-numbered years, for the purpose of filling national, state, county, and district offices and for voting on constitutional amendments not otherwise provided for by law. Fla. Stat. § 97.021(16).

As used in the Electronic Voting Systems Act, ballot means the card, tape, or other vehicle upon which the elector’s choices are recorded. Fla. Stat. § 101.5603(2).
